Hellcats is an old school heavy metal band from Slovenia and is the first all - female metal band from there. It was formed in Ljubljana by sisters Sasha and Sonja Zagorc who have started to perform together in their childhood, when they were still in music school. Sasha was studying classical guitar and Sonja flute. Later on Sonja switched to drums and they formed a girl band. Due to the small size of Slovenian music space it wasn't easy to find many female musicians.

The quartet loves to perform on big stages and had many gigs in clubs and participated at many festivals as Metalcamp, Viva la Pola, Jelen Demofest... In March 2012 they were touring Russia. From Moscow to Tula, Kaluga to Ryazan and Tambov city. They have just returned from Bosnia and Herzegovina from Jelen Demofest festival (music competition) where they finished 4th among 400 bands!

Hellcats recorded their first single "Heavy Metal" in the beginning of 2010. Their second single ''Vladar noči'' was recorded in Slovenian and English language. English title is ''The Master of the night'' and was recorded at studio Conti with producers Davor Kontić and Grat Austin known as producer of band Laibach. Those two songs appeared at their EP in July 2011 as well as the song HELLCATS. All of their songs were written by sisters Sasha and Sonja. They are working on their album and are planning to release it in 2012
