GIBSON ENDORSED, SEATTLE-BASED “ONE WOMAN ARMY” MUSICIAN CAMILLE BLOOM TO PERFORM SHOWCASE AT MARRIOTT HOTEL LOBBY STAGE AT NAMM ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 24 AT 3PM
Greetings NAMM attendees! If you’re coming in from outside of CA, our warm climes happily await you.
The oldest and largest LGBT publication in the nation, The Advocate, has said Camille Bloom has “a voice that makes you want to testify…and…flawless… percussive guitar (skills). ..(Bloom) isn’t your typical indie singer and musician. Her sultry voice swallows you whole when she lets out that signature wail. “ Those are pretty bold statements, but Seattle-based, Gibson Guitars endorsed musician Camille Bloom is nothing if not bold and beautiful.
Praise for the talented musician has not been just from the LGBT community, however as Music Connection Magazine asserted that “It doesn’t take too long to fall in love with Camille Bloom. She is funny, down to earth and just an excellent songwriter…Whether solo or supported, Bloom’s touring career has a bright future.” Additionally, the publication listed Bloom in its Top 100 Unsigned Artists of 2012. No Depression calls Camille “a one woman army” and national publication M – Music and Musicians asserted that “Camille Bloom earns a place among such quirk folk queens as Suzanne Vega, Ani Difranco and the Indigo Girls. But there’s more to this Seattle area songwriter than unplugged self-reflection.”
Catch Camille Bloom live at the Marriott Hotel lobby stage at 3PM on Friday, January 24. We know you’ll need a break from the show floor and if you can spot her publicist (that’s me) who has purple, pink and blue in her hair (it’s not hard, trust) you’ll get a hug, latte or beverage of your choice!
More reasons to see Camille -- After returning from her 6th European tour this past spring, Bloom got to work finishing her forthcoming 7 track EP Big Dreams which was released in November. In between touring and writing, Bloom directs a nonprofit Rock and Roll Camp in the summers and works with at-risk youth around the country at schools and youth centers exposing them to the healing qualities of music. Before the full-time pursuit of her own big musical dream, Bloom was a high school English teacher which readied her for working with kids. Bloom has placed on the European FAR (Free Form American Roots) Charts with Bob Dylan, Iron & Wine, and Brandi Carlile and her songs have been added to over 240 radio stations.
Wishing you safe travels to NAMM whether you’re heading north or south on the I-5 or via plane and hope to see you at the Marriott at 3PM on Friday, January 24!
