Isabel Torres started playing guitar at the age of 13, studying with Mr. Sandro Norton.+Isabel Torres
Since then, I have had experience playing in several musical projects and have played in venues such as 100 Club (Oxford Street), Borderline (Soho) and the Courtyard. I have also played at Staxtonbury Music Festival for over 6000 people audience.
Furthermore, I studied at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (University of East London) and have attended workshops with Gary Burton (Berklee College of Music) and Barry Harris (Jazz Workshop in Rome).
I have also had appearances in major Portugal television channels such as RTP1 (Praça da Alegria), SIC (Portugal tem Talento), TVI (Jornal Nacional - Prime Time of TVI Channel) and Porto Canal (Porto Alive).
In 2012 I was very lucky as I got the chance of meeting personally Steve Vai, one of my major musical influences.
I am currently doing a degree in Popular Music Performance at Tech Music School (University of West London).
As a session player I have worked in multiple projects for independent artists. Im a verstile player and can cover various musical styles such as Rock, Pop, Blues, Funk, Jazz….
In 2014 I won 3rd place on the Shure UK competition for best amateur guitarist.
I am currently living in London, available for musical work.
