Noa Drezner (1983. Israel) - Flamenco guitarist, composer, producer and musical director.
Began studying music at the age of 9 and guitar at the age of 12. Between 2003-2005 lived in India and studied Indian music and sitar.
In 2005 Noa arrived in Spain for the first time and encountered the music and culture of flamenco. She began studying flamenco guitar in Granada and after 3 years moved to Jerez de la Frontera, where she continued her studies for 5 more years, specializing in traditional guitar accompaniment for flamenco song (cante) and dance (baile).
During her time in Spain, she participated in numerous projects with leading local flamenco artists, performed in important flamenco clubs, and on several occasions was also included in the artistic programs of significant flamenco festivals which take place in Jerez.
In 2012 she was invited to play at the Women's Music Festival in Prague. That same year she accompanied the legendary flamenco dancer Marco Flores in Paris as part of his internationally acclaimed show - “DeFlamencas".
Noa was invited to participate in the documentary "Tocaoras", created and directed by Alicia Cifredo, about professional female flamenco guitarists in history and today.
While living in Spain. Noa frequently visited Israel and produced numerous flamenco projects, some of which included collaborations with artists from Spain.
In 2012 she organized and produced "Israel de la Frontera" - the Israeli tour of flamenco singer Carmen Tundidor (Jerez, Spain), which included master classes across the country and performances with leading Israeli flamenco artists.
In the summer of 2013 she organized, produced and directed the tour "Coast to Coast" with flamenco singer Alicia Carrasco (Algeciras, Spain), and 2014 toured across Israel with flamenco singer Maria Gonzalez (Seville, Spain).
Noa performs as a flamenco guitar soloist with the Israeli Andalusian Orchestra of Ashdod. In May 2015 she will participate in the musical series "Flamenco Al-Andalus" - a special collaboration between the Andalusian Orchestra, the singer Emil Zrihan and the great flamenco singer Rafael de Utrera.
In February 2014 Noa debuted "Flamenca", her first original guitar concert and the only show in the world led by a female flamenco guitarist (Inbal Theatre, Suzanne Dellal Center, Tel Aviv). The concert consists of original compositions for flamenco guitar, uniquely combined with new interpretations to traditional flamenco song and dance, and including musical instruments like flute, percussion and bass guitar. In December 2014 "Flamenca" premiered as a collaboration between Noa and Spanish artists in the "Flamenco y Otras Aves" festival at Sala Berlanga in Madrid.
Noa Is currently working on her debut album which will be recorded in Israel and Spain and will include collaborations with artists from both countries.
