Izzy Johnson is currently offline after recent surgery on her wrist. She has been playing some light guitar recently to ease back into her routine after her wrist surgery. She is still undergoing physio in her left hand to improve mobility. Conquer Divide gave a shout out to Izzy at the show.



Izzy Johnson:
Monday March 21st I'm having some minor wrist surgery. For those of you that have followed me for a few years you'll know I've had a nagging ganglion cyst on the dorsal side of my left wrist. Over time it's affected my mobility and how far I can push/practice my technique. I've tried to have it treated with non invasive methods with no success and now that I'm back in the UK for a little bit I've decided to get it sliced out.
To this day it's not completely clear what caused it but it occurred around the time where I was practicing for hours and hours a day with minimal rest. If I have any advice for other guitar players it will be warm up, stretch and take frequent breaks from playing.

I'm hoping my recovery time will be only a couple of weeks with minimal physical therapy. I've heard ganglion cysts are common for guitar players so I will happily blog my experience/recovery if anyone will find it helpful!
