“The other Me” addresses the theme of Dissociative Identity Disorder. In the text, those who suffer from it are distressed by their situation and by the appearance of marks on their skin, the result of episodes of self-harm. The unawareness of these episodes torments him: "crazy messages" are therefore the wounds that he finds himself wearing, as if he were a blackboard, witness to violence as a universal language (cit. text). The progressive awareness of this denied and anguishing part of oneself, experienced as a dance for two, a waltz (recalling Waltz no. 2 by Dmitrij Dmitrievič Shostakovič), will save those who suffer from this disorder from the vortex of madness. The black figure in the video represents mental disorder in general, and the way in which it can negatively affect everyone's daily life. We have tried to combine musical, communicative and expressive skills with demanding work on a human level, in search of the most suitable form to express a delicate content.
