Blu DeTiger: Moxie (Live Performance) | Vevo

If being fluent in more than one language enhances your appeal, then having a variety of lingos at your fingertips certainly allows you to connect with even more people. Blu DeTiger came up through the ranks of New York pop and alt bands, and along the way, while gigging at CBGBs and DJing at downtown clubs, her interests continued to blossom, and her music continued to grow. A glance at her past tells us that she'd spent time with art pop, electroclash, funk, and disco. DeTiger and her bass enjoy riding a groove, and move assuredly through a host of genres while doing so. The title of the singer's debut album hints at such broad interests: 'All I Ever Want Is Everything.' From Chromeo to Dominic Fike to Olivia Rodrigo to Bleachers, she has worked with heroes galore. Their influences swirl through the new album; check how "Latency" seems to incorporate them all at once. We invited DeTiger to our studio for romps through "Moxie" and "Disappearing," and the latter, a dreamy bouncer, seems to attack on all fronts at once. Nice little trick.
